Do you know about Grave Concerns?

Published: Tue, 11/16/21

Hello ,  One of the greatest gifts my work offers me is getting to know people from all over the country.  I learn about projects and programs and the people who create them.  Right here in Washington is one of the best in the country.  Grave Concerns, started by our own Laurel Lemke, is a non-profit dedicated to bringing graves and dignity to people who are buried at Western State Hospital. Laurel has been quietly working away for decades.  That's right - decades.  Laurel and her band of volunteers, board members and financial backers work tirelessly to install grave markers and the recognition that comes with them, for hundreds of people who would have gone unnamed without her work.  It is an honor to know her.

Tomorrow,  KOMO-TV will air a segment showcasing Laurel and her work.  Eric’s Heroes story featuring Grave Concerns will air this Wednesday, 11/17, on KOMO-TV at the end of their 6pm newscast (usually between 6:35-7:00 pm).

Shortly after it airs, you can view it on their website,  http://komonews.com/news/erics-heroes
Also, Eric posts it on his Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/EricJohnsonKOMO

Thank you Laurel, for the years of persistent and unrelenting care.
