Do you feel respected at work?

Published: Mon, 10/03/22

It's tough  when co-workers and even supervisors don't really respect the work of peer supporters.  They may think of the position as a "para professional" or a minor player on the clinical team.  We know that peer support is neither of these things.  One of the best ways to really demonstrate the power of peer support is to show folks the ethical standards you work within.  I teach these in the upcoming workshop on October 20th, 2022.

This workshop, Ethics & Boundaries in Peer Support, is a dynamic, interactive workshop designed for Peer Supporters working in all settings. The content is largely based on the International Association of Peer Specialists document, National Ethical Guidelines and Practice Standards. Participants will come away with a clear understanding of the ethics, guidelines and boundaries that are essential to their profession.  After this workshop you will be able to clearly articulate what makes peer supporters such an essential part of recovery.

Wednesday October 20, 2022 - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm PST
zoom link and handouts will be emailed 30 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.
