Supervision can be tricky, but it is the key to a successful peer support program.  That is why Washington State Health Care Authority has created a course designed to help develop skills for supervising certified peer specialists trainees.  It is the first step in getting the new peer supervision credentials.

The course is free for peers who work in WA state supervising certified peer counselors or those who who want to.  The first priority set by the state is people who are currently working as supervisors for certified peer specialists.  Second priority is people who are on a supervision track meaning they are working toward becoming a supervisor.   Last priority is people who are employed as certified peer specialists.  

Holding the Hope will be offering two peer supervision trainings this year.  One in King County February 25-26, and one in Spokane April 10-11.
