I put on "Radar Love" this morning.

It's this song I bought when I was a kid - one of the first records I ever actually went out and bought for myself. I'd been sorting through my huge record collection and remembered how much I loved it.

So this morning I put it on, and I was shocked at what a great song it is.

From the opening guitar riffs... the drum solos... it's just a fantastic song. I was dancing in my living room in my pajamas, kicked off my bunny slippers, and exercised my two good knees.

And then something happened to my head...

It restored a little bit of trust in myself.

I thought, "Well no wonder I really liked that song when I was younger. It IS a great song."

There are so many times when we have so much self-doubt.

All those negative voices that told us things when we were little that were lies. That were wrong. That were not true.

They were told to us in an attempt to control us, out of fear that we might get in trouble or make a wrong decision.

"Don't take chances. Don't do this. Don't do that. Oh my God, no. Calm down. Don't go there."

We start to misjudge ourselves. We start to think, "Maybe I don't know what I'm doing. Maybe I am just inherently broken. Maybe there really is something wrong with me."

But this morning reminded me that I was right all along.

There's nothing wrong with me. And there's nothing wrong with any of us.

We have an inherent essence of who we are, and that's who we are. It's not right or wrong. It just is.

And sometimes it doesn't fit some places. But where you're meant to be? You fit just great.
