Suicide is a difficult topic that most folks are not ready to teach; but our new curricula require it. That is why Holding the Hope is hosting a Training for Trainers on just this topic.
Expert trainers, LaTonya Rogers and Jeff Landon, will present the suicide prevention modules from both the Crisis
Awareness training and the new Certified Peer Specialist manual. They will demonstrate techniques and tools to help you confidently train and talk about suicide.
Please note, this is our final Training for Trainers specific to the suicide prevention modules. If you haven't been to one of the others, now is the time to act.
Here is some feedback we received
from our last Training for Trainers related to suicide prevention:
- "The interaction with OTMs and trainers (and support) was wonderful… I enjoyed teaching and role-play."
- "I am super grateful for this training. I feel this was much needed. I wish all trainers had been here."
- "Appreciate the wisdom from all the trainers."
Take action now and seize this last opportunity to ensure you are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently talk and train on suicide prevention.
Where: Spokane, WA
When: June 17 & 18
Note: This is a statewide training. We will provide
hotel accommodations for HCA approved trainers, Mentees and OTMs traveling 50 miles or more.
