If you are a Peer Support Specialist working in a crisis setting, you know how difficult some days can be. Rewarding? Absolutely. But also draining. Especially if you feel uncertainty and confused by how your work is different than your clinical colleagues. (And it totally is) WA state Health Care Authority has created a workshop just for you called Crisis Awareness and Communication for Peer Supporters. It is required for
those of you who want to continue to work in crisis settings and advance in your career. We are only hosting two of them this year. One on each side of the state. This comprehensive, week-long training covers essential topics such as trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, and intervention strategies relevant to peer support. There is no cost for people working in Washington State as CPCs/CPSs to participate in the CACPS training. Holding the Hope will
provide complimentary breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day for all participants.
