Hello ,
I remember the first time you heard about recovery. Do you? For me, it was 1998 or so and the "National Mental Health Consumer Self Help Clearinghouse" (really long name for a cool group of folks in Pennsylvania who at the time were headed up by Joe Rogers) sent out a newsletter with large headlines "YOU MUST BELIEVE IN RECOVERY TO EXPERIENCE IT." I was hooked. I wanted to know everything there was to know about recovery. Over 20
years later and I am still motivated by and inspired by recovery practices and principles. Only now, I teach them as well!
Lots of change has happened in the behavioral health system since 1998. Recovery is now a common phrase. But how do you know if an organization is really recovery based? There are some telltale signs. September is recovery month and I'm honoring it with a 4 part series called Hallmarks of A Recovery Based Organization. In it, many of those secrets of putting recovery into practice will be revealed. People
will leave with simple things they can do to start implementing progress regardless of their position. Join us for this free series, Tuesday mornings in September at 9:00 am PST.
The series is free, but you have to register. Simply click below and you’re on your way! I hope to see you there or maybe in the VIP room.
